Christa's Wedding

November 21, 2009 Christa was married in the Boise, Idaho Temple to Jarom Jemmett of Parma Idaho. Jarom's Grandfarther was Dale Jemmett who used to live in Marsing and while I was on my mission in Norway, Dale was made the bishop of the Marsing ward.

We knew the Jemmett family as a good family who have been involved in farming all their lives. Dale was a farmer in Marsing and his sons both now live in Parma where Dale moved shortly after our family moved to Weiser.

This wedding was a great event as our first grandaughter set the example for many others to follow.

Christmas 2009

As usual, we had good intentions to send a Christmas letter to all our family and friends but didn't get it done. One of the Christmas presents was Kira to help us set up a blog site, which has now been done so here we go.

We had a great Christmas dinner last evening with Meat balls, potatoes, green beans, corn,Green salad and homemade chocolate ice cream. It was great to have Kira, Aaron, and family with us.

We have had a great year with several firsts: Mitchell, son of LaReesa and Chris, our first Grandson, returned from his mission to San Bernardino, Cal.; Christa, our first grandaughter, Judd and Lara's Daughter was married to Jarom Jemmett from Parma, Id, in the Boise Temple Nov. 21,: I sold the law practice to Delton and tried to retire; We were Zacharias and Elisabeth in a community Christmas play; We visited Palmyra church sites in New York, Niagara Falls, and sites around there; We moved Devin and Lindsey and family to Nampa after he graduated from dental school in Baltimore Maryland; Managed the parkinglot for the National Old Time Fiddlers Festival, a big assignment; Spent 10 days in Mission Viejo, Cal taking care of littte Andrew and his brothers and sisters while Shara had an operation on her ear; and finished building a covered pavilion at the cabin; I was called a the Shift coordinator with Mom for the Thursday evening shift at the Temple and Read the Book of Mormon in less than 60 days.

We have many other event happening all the time because of our 51 grand children, several in college, Tanner Tolman's mission call to Raleigh NC.; Baptisms, Priesthood advancements, Moms call as Education counselor in the Stake Relief Society and our continued work with the Stake YSA leaders, and my new call as the Stake Media rep. in the Stake Public Relations Committee.

We will try, with time to get more familiar with this blog program to attach some pictures relating to some of the above events
